This online training will take place from 6-9 pm ET (Eastern) over 4 evening sessions during Spring 2025!
A deep and rich vocabulary is strongly correlated with proficiency in reading and success in school and life. Our Word Play Vocabulary/Morphology Workshop provides a clear and effective methodology for teaching vocabulary (including grammar, morphology, etymology and more) in the classroom. Participants will learn about the importance of morphology in vocabulary instruction and will discover ways to incorporate vocabulary activities across the curriculum. We will explore how to teach morphology as a way to unlock the meaning of thousands of words and as an alternative to rote memorization. Teachers will receive lessons and materials to implement instruction in the classroom. The Kendore Vocabulary workshop is lively and engaging and supports multisensory teaching methods. Appropriate for grades 2-8.

- Prefixes, Suffixes, Roots
- Spelling Rules
- Advanced Phonics
- Morphology
- Etymology
- Alternate Spellings and Sounds
- Parts of Speech
- Word Relationships: Homophones, Synonyms, etc.

This course earns 12 professional credit hours and can be applied to the IMSLEC and IDA Certification Course as well as the Indiana DOE Early Literacy Endorsement requirements. Our training program and curriculum are accredited by IMSLEC and IDA. Learn more on our website.
*Note about Kendore Learning Online Training: Online participants are expected to attend class at the designated time. However, we recognize the need for flexibility and will provide recordings to students for pre-approved requests. In order to receive a certificate of completion, all students are expected to attend, either live or by recording, each session. Class recordings will be provided for pre-approved absences with a 2 absence limit for completion of the training per training requirements.
