A deep and rich vocabulary is strongly correlated with proficiency in reading and success in school and life. Our Kendore Word Play Multisensory Vocabulary/Morphology Workshop provides a clear and effective methodology for teaching vocabulary (including grammar, morphology, etymology and more) in the classroom. Participants will learn about the importance of morphology in vocabulary instruction and will discover ways to incorporate vocabulary activities across the curriculum. We will explore how to teach morphology as a way to unlock the meaning of thousands of words and as an alternative to rote memorization. Teachers will receive lessons and materials to implement instruction in the classroom. This workshop is lively and engaging and supports multisensory teaching methods. Appropriate for grades 2-8.
